We’re looking for a Managing Editor to work closely with the Media Lead on our media platform’s creative strategy as well as lead, mentor, and guide our editorial team. Someone quick on their feet, organized, and knows great content a mile away. Someone to rally the team and make all day-to-day operations seamless and easy.
Work closely with the Media Lead to develop our editorial & social strategies
Work closely with the Media Lead on establishing seamless workflows for the team to follow
Follows set best practices, workflows, tools and templates to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the publishing process
Own and work closely with the team on developing our editorial calendar
Manage the editorial team and guide them through feedback and mentorship
Edits & approves the editorial team’s work making sure all content sets the bar globally, has no typos and is published on time
Brainstorm and ensure all content on the platform aligns with our vision and positions us at the forefront of making being informed about money & investing the coolest topic in town
Ensures that our content, projects work toward our strategies and KPIs
Occasionally writes features / manages bigger video or audio projects
Works closely with the SEO team to ensure that all content is published according to the SEO guidelines & strategy
Work closely with the the Media Lead on managing content budgets
Works closely with the creative & social team to ensure content is relevant and fit for platform whether it’s Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, or TikTok
Can manage strategic partnerships with other entities or with content creators to ensure proper value exchange
Stay updated on the business world in MENA and have their finger on the pulse of what is happening
Always on the lookout for new updates and how to optimize them for our channels
Analyze performance metrics across and report on results

Experience as managing editor relevant role
Know a good headline, a good story, and how to grab your audience’s attention
Excellent copywriting skills, spelling and grammar in Arabic & English
Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and help others grow

Sharp decision making skills based on data and analytics
Ability of conceptualize and tell stories in any format
You have a decent eye for design
You have a sense of humor
