Cyber Security

Cyber Security Engineer

Riyadh, Riyadh Province
Work Type: Full Time

Thndr is an investment platform that aims to democratize investing in MENA. Our platform represents a seamless way for individuals to achieve financial independence and growth and a means for countries to promote local investment products and unlock dormant liquidity.

We exists because of the the following problem statements:

  • High barriers - In the form of minimum account balances, brick and mortar onboarding and low financial literacy.
  • Irrelevant experience - Catered towards traders and financial experts, therefore alienating the majority of the population.
  • Fragmented Offering - Investment products are not gathered in a single outlet

In our short journey we’ve validated that there is a need for our solution, as illustrated by these key figures:

  • $8.8bn in annualized traded value.
  • #1 platform in terms of retailed traded value with 11% market share.
  • 84% of our users are investing for the 1st time.
  • 65% of our users come from outside of capital cities and have previously had limited access to financial institutions.

We’re still in the very early stages of our story (we’ve raised our Series A recently), but we know for a fact that the mission won’t stop until everyone in MENA has an equal opportunity to generate and grow their wealth.

The journey ahead will be long and painful - it’s not everyday that you solve a core societal necessity while changing cultural norms - But the reward will be priceless.
